Scholarships for internships abroad

All IAE-students have the possibility to apply for a professional internship in a company or organisation abroad (Europe, South America, USA, Australia…). In which case, scholarships could potentially be allocated. Please read the information page for scholarships and financial aid:

Internships

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING AN INTERNSHIP AGREEMENT

For all internships an internship agreement is compulsory and must be signed by the student, the company, the head of Master courses at IAE and the President of the UPPA.

Two steps to form your agreement:

Students at the Campus in Bayonne

  • Download and fill in the form from the link below (choose between an internship in France or abroad). Check the form with the head of Master courses at IAE.
  • Also complete the individual online form (using your individual username and password). The school will be informed by email as soon as you have completed it and will send you the agreement to sign.

Students at the Campus in Pau

The Thesis

For all questions concerning your internship and your thesis, please write to:

A guide for writing your thesis will be offered to you.

You have to send 3 copies (two in paper format, one in electronic format) of your thesis between 15 days and 3 weeks after the end of your internship. (Depending on the course)

The presentation of your thesis will take place in front of a panel (teachers and other professionals). A schedule will be made depending on the course.

This interactive guide, created by the ministry, is offered to students, to receiving organisations and Higher Education establishments in France and abroad.

 

 

 

 

Mobility Grants

Grants for a period of study abroad: Internship or University study

COMPULSORY REGISTRATION ONLINE VIA THE AQUIMOB WEBSITE (3 sessions per year)

PLEASE NOTE: Grants are not allocated automatically. For one single period of time abroad, only one scholarship is allocated.

GRANTS OFFERED WITHIN THE AQUIMOB SYSTEM

  • Mobility grants from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research:

Grants are reserved for students already receiving Higher Education grants (according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Education)

Students registered in a degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD), who are taking part in a university study exchange or an internship in a business abroad.

Minimum length of internship: 2 months. Maximum length: 9 months
Maximum amount of grant: 400 € per month (maximum of 9 months)

 

  • Grant from the Aquitaine region Cap Mobilité (internship/study abroad)

The grant scheme by the Regional Council of Aquitaine is aimed at all students taking part in an internship or study exchange abroad:

The length of study placement abroad should be between 3 months (13 weeks) minimum and 9 months maximum.

The financial support from the region is 400€ per month maximum.

There is also the possibility to receive a grant from the Regional Council for 2 different periods abroad in two different university years for the maximum of 9 months in total.

 

  • Erasmus Grant – Internship

The internship must take place in Europe. Grant allocated only once throughout University life.

Minimum length of internship – 3 months. Maximum length of internship – 12 months. Compulsory full-time.

There is also the possibility to combine the Erasmus internship scheme and the Erasmus study abroad scheme for a maximum of 24 months abroad.

 

  • Erasmus Grant – University study

Following studies in Europe in a University within the Erasmus program
Grant allocated only once throughout University life.

 

IF THE STUDENT IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE THE ERASMUS GRANTS (INTERNSHIP OR UNIVERSITY STUDY) AND FSDIE-IR, THEY SHOULD COMPLETE A SECOND DOSSIER (AVAILABLE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE FOR THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN IAE) AS WELL AS THE AQUIMOB DOSSIER.
REFER REGULARLY TO THE NOTICE BOARD TO KNOW THE DIFFERENT DATES FOR THE AQUIMOB SESSIONS.

 

 

GRANTS AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE AQUIMOB SCHEME

  • Individual financial help packages with the loans of FSDIE (funds for the solidarity and development of student initiatives)

In exceptional cases of financial difficulty, students in the third year of university (Bachelor), doing Master studies or a Doctorate without funding can apply for emergency funding from the FSDIE. The office of CEVU reviews the applications after an interview with a social worker from CLOUS or with the University preventative health service (SUMPPS). Applications are available from October from the Grant Services department (UFR).

 

  • Trans-border grants UPPASS

Financial and logistical support – 400€ or 500€ per month
Only for a University study exchange in Spain (University of Pays Basque, University of Zaragoza or Public University of Navarre)

 

  • Lions Club grant

Every year Lions Club in Pau allocate a grant to certain students in need of financial support. Applications are available from October/November.

 

  • Grants and financial assistance from the Departmental Council (outside 64 (Pyrénées-Atlantiques)) and the City Council

Some authorities finance student projects abroad (find more information from the specific department or town). For more information contact the City Council or Departmental Council.
