OVERVIEW

This 5 days Summer School intents to provide insight and perspective to the new tendencies of Smart Cities through studying and sharing good practices by means of appropriate case studies in Europe.

This program will bring a general overview about sustainable and smart cities focused in areas such as transportation, logistics, operation management, e-governance, operations research, architecture and smart buidings, management information systems among others.

It will give a acurate comprehension on decision making in new tecnical protocols for smart cities, where all stakeholders are integrated in a jointed way. Based on different European case studies led by experts, this program will allow participants to get innovative methods related to theoretical and methodological basis of approaches to deal with Smart cities issues.

Friday 5^th :

Afternoon : Synthesis of the week

Each workshop or lecture will be led by a IAE’s professor and a guest professor or professional.

WHO CAN APPLY ?

This course is open to graduate, Phd Students and professors/lecturers from various backgrounds as well as professionals. Different teaching methods will be employed including workshops, seminars, interactive debates with professionals and researchers.

All courses will be taught in English.

FEES

500 euros for the week
200 euros for UPPA students

LOCATION

This Summer School will be held on Bayonne Campus on the Basque Atlantic Coast. Bayonne is superbly located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees. 30 minutes from Spain and a short distance from Biarritz, it is the perfect location for implementing summer programs. It is a lively city and participants will be offered, through many social activities, to learn about it and enjoy the delights of this beautiful Basque area.

ACCOMODATION

Different options are offered :

University residence : 170 euros for 2 weeks (room scan only be rent on a basis of 15 days)
Hotels : 80 euros/night (upon availabilities)
